Dr. Hariharan is a highly skilled and experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Upper Limb (Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist, and Hand) conditions and Sports Injuries of the Knee. With a strong academic background and extensive training in India and the UK, he brings a wealth of expertise to his practice.
Having completed his MBBS from the prestigious Madras Medical College, Chennai, and his M.S. Orthopaedics from Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai, Dr. Hariharan has honed his skills in a top-tier trauma center. He further advanced his training through fellowships at renowned institutions in the UK, including Wrightington Hospital, Wigan, Nottingham University Hospital (Queens Medical Centre), Medway Maritime Hospital (Kent) and Homerton University Hospital, London. During his time in the UK, he completed the Intercollegiate Fellowship Examination in Trauma and Orthopaedics and was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS T&O).
Dr. Hariharan’s commitment to patient care is evident in his approach to treatment. He prioritizes non-operative methods such as injections, physiotherapy, and lifestyle modifications for chronic conditions, aiming to minimize invasive procedures. His expertise in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgeries ensures optimal outcomes for patients with complex injuries and degenerative conditions.
A dedicated researcher and academician, Dr. Hariharan has published numerous articles in leading journals and contributed to book chapters. He actively participates in national and international conferences, sharing his knowledge and insights with the medical community.
Dr Hariharan is also an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Instructor. ATLS is a training program for medical providers in the management of acute trauma cases, developed by the American College of Surgeons. He has participated as a faculty in courses at Mumbai, London and Cambridge.
